ELECTRONICS v/s COMPUTER SCIENCE

-> Electrical engineering, sometimes referred to as electrical and electronic engineering, is a field of engineering that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.

->  It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

-> Computer Science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computing, and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems.

-> Computer Science has many sub-fields; some, such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results, while others, such as computational complexity theory, study the properties of computational problems.

-> Both branches are good and have demand in India.

-> EC students has one advantage over CS students that they can get placement in Computer Science companies( such as Satyam, Infosys or TCS) as well as in Electronics Company's( such as Sony Erricson, Nokia, Secure Meters).

-> CS students has lots of opportunities in Software and Hardware field in India. But CS students cannot able to go in EC companies.

INFORMATION ON ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

->Electronics is a sub-field within the wider electrical engineering academic subject.

->An academic degree with a major in electronics engineering can be acquired from some universities, while other universities use electrical engineering as the subject.

->Electronic engineering as a profession sprang from technological improvements in the telegraph industry in the late 19th century and the radio and the telephone industries in the early 20th century.

->In this field, engineers design and test circuits that use the electromagnetic properties of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors to achieve a particular functionality.

INFORMATION ON COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING

->Developments in radio, television, radar, transistors, computers, and robotics have fundamentally altered human life.

->The field of Computer engineering is at the epicenter of this development.

->Computer Science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications.

->The earliest foundations of what would become computer science predate the invention of the modern digital computer.

->Machines for calculating fixed numerical tasks such as the abacus have existed since antiquity.

->Blaise Pascal designed and constructed the first working mechanical calculator, the Pascaline, in 1642.------------->

->During the 1940s, as new and more powerful computing machines were developed, the term computer came to refer to the machines rather than their human predecessors.

->Computer science encompasses a wide range of topics including operating system, computer architecture, computer networks, robotics, artificial intelligence, and computer-aided design.

->In this field, you'll learn alla bout the hardware and software aspects of computer science.

**INFORMATION ON MECHANICAL ENGINEERS**

->Mechanical engineers continue to work toward meeting the demands of an increasingly complex technological society.

->They work on a variety of new ideas and innovations including: renewable energy, computational and theoretical mechanics automatic control, microfluidics, thermal system design, HVAC, robotics in applications related to:

* Space technology and aircraft design.
* Orthopedic bio-mechanics.
* Pollution control.
* Automobile design and combustion engines.
* Autonomous system design.
* Problems of heating and air conditioning.

->Mechanical engineering involves the planning, design, manufacturing, and operation of devices, machines, and systems.

->It is a broad disciplene at the forefront of technological advancements in energy conversion, manufacturingmachine design, fluid mechanics, and aerospace systems.

->Mechanical engineers are concerned with imagining and implementing programs and devices that improve our world and our movement in it.

->a Mechanical engineering major's designing endeavors are diverse, from tiny instruments to huge aircrafts carriers or power plants.

->They also are involved with testing, evaluating, distributing, marketing the devices they and their colleagues create.

ALL ABOUT MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

->Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering  that applies on the principles of physics and material science for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems.

->It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design,production, and operation of machines and tools.

->The engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics. kinematics , thermodynamics, material science, structural analysis and electricity.

->Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems , aircraft, watercraft ,robotics, medical devices and others.

->Mechanical engineering emerged as a field during the industrial revolution in Europe in the 18th century; however, its development can be traced back several thousand years around the world. But it emerged in the 19th century as a result of development in the field of physics.

->Another appealing feature of mechanical engineering is that the application base of this field of study is extremely broad and diverse.

->Almost all inventions during the ancient period and a vast majority in the modern era are direct contributions if one or the other application of mechanics.

->Mechanical engineers are also expected to understand and be able to apply basic concepts from Chemistry, Physics, Chemical engineering, Civil engineering and Electrical engineering.

->Mechanical engineers are problem solvers. They apply the laws of science in order to provide practical solutions to problems.

->They deal with the relations among forces, work or energy, and power in designing systems, which will render the achievements of science to the betterment of the human environment.

->They may work to extract oil from deep within the Earth or to send a spacecraft to the moon.
